• Regional Transportation Council approves new TxDOT agreement (fortworthreport.org) — Cedar Hill residents now have their mayor, Stephen Mason, leading the powerful 45-member Regional Transportation Council, which helps steer funding and planning for major North Texas transportation projects. His election as chair comes as the RTC finalizes a key agreement with TxDOT, clarifies funding for a TEXRail extension, and continues a high-stakes dispute over who controls regional transportation decisions. 
• Leadership Update (risd.org) — Cedar Hill families may recognize Derica Turner, who once led special education for Cedar Hill ISD and is now taking over as principal at Audelia Creek Elementary in Richardson ISD. Her track record includes boosting instructional time, strengthening student services, and improving teacher retention through coaching, operational changes, and strong community partnerships.
