• Tech This Out: Firefly Just Quadrupled Its Ability to Build Moon Landers (cbsaustin.com) — Firefly Aerospace has opened a much larger cleanroom at its Cedar Park campus, quadrupling its capacity to build lunar landers and orbiters and boosting the city's growing space-tech profile. Backed by an $8.2 million Texas Space Commission grant, the facility lets Firefly build up to 12 spacecraft at once, supporting NASA's long-term Moon base plans and positioning Cedar Park as a serious player in commercial space.

• A new senior living facility, steakhouse and coffee shop: 5 Austin-area permits filed this week (communityimpact.com) — A new drive-thru coffee shop planned in Cedar Park is among the Austin metro's priciest construction permits filed this week, signaling fresh retail growth close to home. The roundup also includes a major Leander senior living facility and a large Austin office renovation, underscoring ongoing development across the region.
