• Defendant Dies by Suicide Outside Conroe Courthouse Before Sentencing (news-usa.today) — A 74-year-old defendant died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound Friday morning on the steps of the Lee G. Alworth Building on West Phillips Street in downtown Conroe, just before a scheduled sentencing. The incident briefly closed the street and halted access to the courthouse while police secured and investigated the scene. Officials stress there is no ongoing public threat and highlight available suicide crisis resources.

- In regards to the homeless dog that has been wandering around Alys, Rosemary apartments and neighboring subdivisions for 6-8 months, the sweet boy has been adopted.
