TxDOT has also lowered the speed limit to 50 mph in a key stretch and is warning Corpus Christi-area drivers to slow down, obey the Move Over law, and watch for ongoing safety changes.

2. Corpus Christi hemp businesses adapt to Texas ban on THC products (couriertexas.com) — Corpus Christi hemp shops have yanked most THC products after Texas reclassified many hemp-derived THCs as Schedule I drugs, making their sale and possession illegal. Local business owners describe major inventory losses and fear customers turning to the black market, while police and prosecutors sort out how enforcement will work and a local defense attorney warns residents they're responsible for what they possess.

3. Corpus Christi police clarify use of license plate reader cameras ahead of City Council briefing (kiiitv.com) — Corpus Christi police are explaining exactly how their Vigilant license plate reader system works ahead of a City Council briefing, stressing they don't control or access data from private Flock cameras around town. 4. Farrah Fawcett statue proposal moves forward (kiiitv.com) — Corpus Christi is a step closer to honoring hometown star Farrah Fawcett with a bronze skateboard statue along Shoreline Boulevard, across from the Art Center.
