A new sports attraction could transform this Texas city's last mall (lmtonline.com) — Corpus Christi's La Palmera Mall is set for a major makeover, as City Council extends an incentive deal clearing the way for a Dick's House of Sport to replace the vacant Macy's. The new attraction would add batting cages, golf simulators, a climbing wall, and an outdoor field, backed by about $30 million in private investment and promises of more new retailers for the city's last mall.
   

4. Corpus Christi tap water may temporarily taste or smell earthy, City says (kiiitv.com) — Corpus Christi officials say you may notice an earthy or musty taste and smell in your tap water for a few days, but stress it remains safe for drinking, cooking, and everyday use. The city is adjusting treatment at the O.N. Stevens plant, increasing monitoring, and advising residents to chill water in the fridge rather than add chemicals, while encouraging concerns to be reported via 311.
   

5. Corpus Christi Receives Positive Credit Rating (southtexascommunitynews.com) — Corpus Christi has secured stable or affirmed credit ratings from Fitch and S&P ahead of a $300 million utility system revenue bond sale, supporting future water and utility projects. City leaders highlighted improved reservoir levels, eased water restrictions, and long‑term investments to diversify water supplies and strengthen reliability for residents.
