Texas awards $750M to teachers through incentive program (crossroadstoday.com) — Cuero ISD is among 13 districts whose applications are accepted for Texas’ Teacher Incentive Allotment, positioning local teachers for performance-based raises once fully approved. The statewide program has now distributed $1.8 billion, including $750 million in this latest round, rewarding effective teachers based on student growth and classroom performance.

4. Hero garden proposal now includes EC's R. Benavidez (wcleaderjournal.com) — A proposed National Garden of American Heroes in South Dakota may include Medal of Honor recipient Roy P. Benavidez, who grew up as an orphaned farm boy from Cuero before calling El Campo home.
