Fairmont Dallas presents an elevated Uncle Nearest Whiskey Dinner in its iconic Fountain Room, featuring premium whiskey, handcrafted cocktails, cigar tasting, and a luxurious family-style dinner. 

Guests will enjoy a guided tasting of Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey and cigars from JM Patriarch, alongside a chef-curated menu featuring tomahawk steak and whole suckling pig, with special remarks from Master Blender Victoria Eady Butler, the first Black woman recognized as a Master Blender and the great-great-granddaughter of Nearest Green. The evening celebrates the legacy of Nathan “Nearest” Green, the first known African American master distiller, whose expertise helped shape the Tennessee whiskey-making tradition and who taught his craft to Jack Daniel.

An Evening of Black History & Whiskey: Uncle Nearest Whiskey Dinner at Fairmont Dallas

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, Galleria Dallas will highlight Hispanic and Latino culture through a monthlong Artist Collective exhibit and a series of free live performances. 
The art window will display works by Brenda Melgoza Ciardiello, a Texas-based interdisciplinary artist, writer and educator whose work explores the relationship between place and memory through painting, ceramic sculpture and photography. 
Throughout the month, local dance and music groups will perform on Saturdays and Sundays at 2 and 4 p.m. on Level 1 near Lane Boots. Entertainment rotates daily and includes ballet folklorico by nearly a dozen dance groups and a live mariachi performance by Mariachi Orgullo de LV Berkner High School. This year's lineup features R&amp;B and soul musician and actress Alexis Ray Parker, genre-blending singer-songwriter D.X.N., indie-country artist David Forsyth, award-winning singer-songwriter Leslie Austin, and independent folk artist and American Idol contestant TRVR?. 

The evening will be hosted by Jazzi Black, midday personality on 97.9 FM The Beat with appearances by multi-grammy award winner and audio engineer, mixer and record producer Tre Nagella, independent A&amp;R executive and artist development strategist Amp Buchanan, and Dale Brock, an accomplished entertainment professional with deep experience in talent buying, festival production, touring, and live events.

Founded by Sydney Peters, Citrusfest was created to give emerging artists greater access to the people and opportunities that can help launch their careers while positioning DFW as a destination for music discovery.

Clarity and Wisdom: Meditations to Dispel Tension in the Mind

The BooMont Hotel, which reopened in 2025 after being closed for nearly 100 years, is completing further renovations and will reopen on weekends starting Sept. 4.
The attraction, located at Galleria Dallas, has been upgraded with two brand-new rooms, more square footage, bigger thrills and different ways to explore the hotel. 
Guests will enter The BooMont Hotel through the refurbished lobby, still decorated in the golds and greens that delighted guests in 1901. Elevators transport guests through the hotel, where older children and adults can expect the unexpected as they navigate through mysterious rooms, interactive spaces and imaginative photo opportunities. 
The BooMont Hotel, BOO! for short, will be open on Level 3 of Galleria Dallas near Raising Cane’s from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays Sept. 4-27. Beginning Oct. 2, BOO! will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays through Nov. 1, with some extended hours the week of Halloween.
