City of Dallas Schedules Mosquito Control Spraying in Seven Areas

The City of Dallas scheduled mosquito spraying control sessions in seven different areas of the city this week.

The city put out a press release with the details on Monday. According to the release, the mosquito control spraying sessions were scheduled after mosquito samples in Dallas tested positive for West Nile Virus.

Weather permitting, seven different areas are scheduled for mosquito control spraying between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night from Tuesday, June 30 to Wednesday, July 1.

Here are the control areas:

Control Area: The area to be sprayed is within an area generally bounded by: 200 LAKERIDGE DRIVE (75218) (Council District 9): LYNFORD DRIVE on the north, N. BUCKNER BOULEVARD on the west, LULLWATER DRIVE on the east, and BROOKHURST DRIVE on the south.

Control Area: The area to be sprayed is within an area generally bounded by: 2200 COLONY CT (75235) (Council District: 2): DENTON DRIVE on the north, BURBANK STREET on the west SHEA ROAD on the east, and EMPIRE CENTRAL on the south.

Control Area: The area to be sprayed is within an area generally bounded by: 3900 ALSBURY STREET (75216) (Council District 4): OVERTON ROAD on the north SOUTHERN OAKS BOULEVARD on the west, JULIUS SCHEPPS FREEWAY on the east, and KYSER STREET on the south.

Control Area: The area to be sprayed is within an area generally bounded by: 2500 QUINTO DRIVE (75227) (Council District 5): BEARDEN LANE on the north N. JIM MILLER ROAD on the west, UTICA DRIVE on the east, and BRUTON ROAD on the south.

Control Area: The area to be sprayed is within an area generally bounded by: 4000 ALLENCREST LANE (75244) (Council District: 13): CALCULUS DRIVE on the north, BENCREST PLACE on the west, MIDWAY ROAD on the east, and ALTA VISTA LANE on the south.

Control Area: The area to be sprayed is within an area generally bounded by: 7100 TEAKWOOD DRIVE (75240) (Council District: 11): PALDAO DRIVE on the north, HILLCREST ROAD on the west, WILLOW BEND BOULEVARD on the east, and LBJ FREEWAY on the south.

Control Area: The area to be sprayed is within an area generally bounded by: 7300 CLIFFBROOK DRIVE (75254) (Council District: 11): ROLLING ACRES DRIVE on the north, HILLCREST ROAD on the west, COIT ROAD on the east, and PALDAO DRIVE on the south.

While the United States Environmental Protection Agency approves this insecticide for treatment, residents in the above areas should avoid contact with the spray by staying indoors.
