Dallas Police Searching for Missing 9-Year-Old Boy

The Dallas Police Department needs the public's help to locate a missing 9-year-old boy.
The department posted the request to social media on Monday evening. According to the post, 9-year-old Matthew Uwa was last seen on June 1, at about 5 p.m., in the 1100 block of Templecliff Dr.
He was wearing a green button-up shirt with palm trees, green jogger pants, and black slides. He is 4'9" tall, weighs about 90 pounds, and has dreadlocks that are tied back.

Anyone with information about Uwa's whereabouts are asked to call the Dallas Police Department at either 911 or 214-671-4268. Reference case number 078957-2026.
According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, anyone who has determined their child is missing should immediately report it to law enforcement.

Parents should provide law enforcement with the date, time, and location where the child was last seen and the names of the last people to see the child.
After that, the best practice is to search any area in which a child could crawl or hide and possibly be asleep or unable to get out. This includes closets, piles of laundry, in and under beds, inside large appliances, and in vehicles.
