The Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient is remembered for his quiet strength, love of music, and faithful Marine service. 
• Kenneth Freeman Wells (devinenews.com) — Devine residents are invited to celebrate the life of Kenneth Freeman Wells this Saturday, August 8, at 11 a.m. at the Devine Community Center. Born and raised in Devine, he served San Antonio as a police officer and later worked as a DJ, contractor, and salesman for the Devine News, always cherishing family and hometown ties.
