• Thousands fill McDade Park as Dumas Noon Lions Club hosts 79th Dogie Days (abc7amarillo.com) — Dogie Days is back at McDade Park, with the Dumas Noon Lions Club cooking more than 8,000 pounds of meat to raise money for local nonprofits and kids’ summer camps. Thousands are expected to turn out for this 79-year tradition, which now relies on big smokers instead of old courthouse fire pits but still keeps its community-first spirit.
