• Early ISD welcomes Amy Morris as new elementary principal (brownwoodnews.com) — Early ISD has named Amy Morris as the new elementary principal, effective July 1, 2026, a change that will shape daily life for many local families. Returning to a district she knows well, Morris is praised by Superintendent Dr. Joan Otten for her commitment to students and the community, and will lead instruction and operations on the elementary campus. 
• Early High School One Act Play wins area competition, advances to regionals (brownwoodnews.com) — Early High School’s One Act play has earned first place at the Area 2, Region 1-3A contest and is headed to the regional competition in Clyde on April 23. The Early Longhorn Theatre Company’s performance of scenes from “They Promised Her the Moon” also brought home multiple individual awards for cast, crew, and technical excellence, placing Early among the top 24 3A plays in Texas.
• Early secures 13 berths in Region I-3A track and field meet (brownwoodnews.com) — Early High School’s Longhorns and Lady Horns just locked in 13 spots at the Region I-3A track and field meet after standout performances at the 7-3A/8-3A area meet in Jacksboro. Several athletes set school records, and they’ll now compete at Abilene Christian University May 1–2 for a chance to advance to state in Austin.
