Fort Worth Pool Season Kicks Off Memorial Day Weekend

The City of Fort Worth is preparing to kick off its summer pool season ahead of Memorial Day weekend. Here's what residents need to know to make a splash.

The city published a blog post with the pre-season, season, and post-season pool schedules on Tuesday.

According to the blog, the city will open two swimming pools and a splash pad on Memorial Day weekend. Hours are noon-6 p.m.

The facilities opening this weekend for Memorial Day are:

  • Forest Park Pool, 2850 Park Place
  • Marine Park Aquatic Center, 303 N. W. 20th St.
  • Sycamore Spray Ground, Sycamore Community Center, 2525 E. Rosedale St.

The pools will operate on Saturdays and Sundays, May 23-25 (including the Memorial Day holiday), May 30-31, and June 6-7.

Summer season officially begins June 9 and runs through Aug. 9. Pools are closed on Mondays.

The city also offers a weekends-only post-season. Those weekends are Aug. 15-16, Aug. 22-23, Aug. 29-30, and Sep. 5-7 (including the Labor Day holiday).

The City of Fort Worth and the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth partnered to allow residents seasonal access to the Eastside and McDonald YMCA outdoor pools.

The collaboration provides Fort Worth residents with open swim and swim lessons at the same affordable rates offered at city-operated aquatic facilities.
