• Homeowner thought the lump on his porch was an Amazon package until his screen door hit a large alligator (thecooldown.com) — An early-morning walker in Fulshear opened his screen door expecting a package and instead bumped a full-sized alligator resting on his porch. Fulshear police safely captured and relocated the reptile to a nearby pond, and officials are reminding residents that heavy rains can push gators and other wildlife into local yards and doorsteps.
