• Gainesville breaks ground on major pedestrian infrastructure project (kxii.com) — Gainesville has started building a new pedestrian corridor that will safely link Gainesville High School, NCTC, the Frank Buck Zoo, Leonard and Moffett parks, and downtown without local taxpayers funding construction. Backed entirely by a TxDOT grant, the project adds wider sidewalks, upgraded traffic signals, and other safety improvements along FM 1306 and West California Street to better connect daily destinations for residents.
