• Man killed on Houston's east side after asking suspect why he was at residence, police say (houstonstringer.com) — A man was fatally shot Saturday night on Houston's east side along the 5300 block of Harrisburg Boulevard after confronting a suspect who didn't live at the residence. Police say a second shooting nearby led officers to a man matching the suspect's description, who was found with a foot wound and detained while both incidents remain under investigation.

• Man hospitalized after being hit by ICE vehicle, sheriff says (borderreport.com) — In west Houston, a 48-year-old man fleeing an ICE pursuit was struck by an ICE vehicle near Highway 6 and taken to a hospital with a suspected broken leg, authorities say. Harris County's vehicular crimes unit is investigating, while Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones sharply criticized ICE's tactics and called for full transparency and release of all video evidence.
