Her SkillsUSA teams regularly medal at state competitions while organizing blood drives, health fairs, and health education events that directly benefit the Kilgore community and prepare students for fast-growing healthcare careers. 
• KC Phi Theta Kappa chapter wins Texas Top Chapter, adds honors on national stage (gilmermirror.com) — Kilgore College’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter has racked up 37 awards at the Texas Regional Convention and added major honors at the national PTK conference, putting KC among the top chapters in the country. Local students and advisors earned multiple individual distinctions, highlighting the strength of KC’s academic, leadership, and community service efforts.
• Kilgore softball splits with Bossier Parish (news-journal.com) — Kilgore College softball split a road doubleheader at Bossier Parish, winning 5–3 before falling 2–0, with strong performances from several Rangers hitters and pitchers. The team now returns home to host Northeast Texas Community College in a Saturday doubleheader at The Ballpark at KC Commons, giving local fans a chance to cheer them on.
