• League City backs $19.6M FM 270 widening project, Walker street improvements move forward (communityimpact.com) — League City drivers can expect big changes along FM 270 as City Council has unanimously backed a $19.6 million project to widen the road from FM 518 to FM 646 to four lanes with sidewalks and bike paths. Council also approved a TxDOT agreement for drainage and intersection upgrades at Walker Street and Highway 96, funded through a Galveston County bond program.
