5. Lady Titans miss out on state, place eighth at regionals; Victoria West comes in 13th (victoriaadvocate.com) — High school golfers from across Region 3-5A just wrapped up their championship at Margaritaville Golf Course in Montgomery, where the host Montgomery team dominated with a 623 total and Lake Creek’s Kylie Ellegood took the individual title. Victoria East and Victoria West both missed qualifying for state, finishing eighth and 13th. The boys’ and girls’ UIL 5A state tournaments are coming up in late April and early May.
