One Final Dash in Austin Before Summer Fades
The Watermelon Dash is a sweet finish to Lonestar Running Company's Summer Series and arrives Saturday, August 22.

The Austin Watermelon Dash – presented by Lonestar Running Company (LRC) – returns to Hutto Memorial Stadium Saturday, August 22. This event brings together runners, walkers, and even families with children in strollers for a refreshing morning of fitness, fun, and community that also benefits charitable causes.
“Our team has really enjoyed building our Summer Dash Series in Austin, and the Watermelon is our final event for the season,” said Randi Schooley, LRC co-founder. “This event helps to create a community centered around physical fitness while also giving back to an amazing foundation.”
LRC is aiming to raise $5,000 to benefit local charities including Ainsley’s Angels, Asher House Animal Sanctuary, and LifeGift Organ Donation. Other Summer Dash Series events in Austin were the Lemonade Dash in June, and the Popsicle Dash in July.
