Paris High School Students Earn Top Honors at SkillsUSA State Competition (myparistexas.com) — Paris High School students are bringing home top honors from the SkillsUSA State Competition, with standout performances in photography and automotive technology representing Paris ISD on the state stage. From Best of Show for a rebuilt differential to top photography ratings, these CTE students are gaining real-world skills while earning statewide recognition for Paris.

3. Ottawa Redblacks sign defensive backs Jordan Wright and Kobe Savage (bgmsportstrax.com) — Paris native Kobe Savage has signed with the CFL’s Ottawa Redblacks, continuing his football journey after a standout college career at Kansas State and Oregon. The defensive back, who once attended a San Francisco 49ers rookie minicamp, now heads to Canada alongside fellow signee Jordan Wright.

4. Give ‘em a Brake: Drive Smart in Work Zones (ksstradio.com) — Drivers in and around Paris are being urged to slow down and stay alert in highway work zones after TxDOT reported 647 work-zone crashes in the Paris District last year, including seven deaths. With National Work Zone Awareness Week starting April 20, officials are stressing safe speeds, no distractions, and obeying the Move Over or Slow Down law to protect both workers and motorists.
