(pasadenian.com) — Pasadena residents can adopt any pet for free all month at the Pasadena Animal Shelter on Burke Road, thanks to the Clear The Shelters campaign. One lucky cat, Cuddles, just found a forever home, and the shelter is urging more locals to visit in person or browse animals online so more dogs and cats can leave the kennels for good.

(pasadenian.com) — Anxious shelter dog Chappo is on the urgent list at Pasadena Animal Shelter and needs a local adopter or rescue quickly to avoid euthanasia. The three-year-old American Bully mix is sweet with people, under treatment for medical issues, and has sponsored heartworm care, but must avoid cats and should meet any potential dog companions first.
• A Longtime Texas Energy Business and 7 Affiliates File for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy (whatnow.com) — A major industrial contractor based in Pasadena, Timec Services Company, Inc., has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Houston federal court, along with seven affiliated entities. The company, which serves refineries and other energy facilities across the Gulf Coast and beyond, plans to keep operating while it restructures debts between $1 million and $10 million.
