Pasadena ISD backs down on health insurance plan that would have more than tripled some family premiums (click2houston.com) — Pasadena ISD has scrapped a proposed switch to TRS-ActiveCare that could have more than tripled some employees' family health insurance premiums starting January 1. After staff filed for a temporary restraining order, the superintendent withdrew the item, apologized, and now plans to keep the self-funded plan while outlining new premium options and providing monthly updates on the district's strained insurance finances.
   

2. Video PPD seeking help identifying a perv for recording in an Old Navy dressing room. (pasadenian.com) — Pasadena police are asking for your help identifying a man who allegedly used his phone to record under a dressing room door at the Old Navy on Fairmont Parkway, injuring a woman who tried to confront him. If you recognize the suspect from police photos or video, you're urged to contact Detective MacGregor by phone or email with any tips.

Gilley's helped Houston 2-step into history (houstonchronicle.com) — Pasadena's own Gilley's honky-tonk once drew refinery workers, country stars, and even Hollywood to Spencer Highway, helping spark the "Urban Cowboy" craze. 4. With a salute and a smile, Deputy Reyes steps into the ranks of Constable Pct. 2.
