Drawing on award-winning work in Alamo and McAllen, she’ll oversee media relations, digital messaging, branding, and storytelling to better explain city initiatives and highlight Pharr’s growth and community priorities.
   

• Give ‘Em a Brake: Drive Smart in Work Zones (texasborderbusiness.com) — Drivers in and around Pharr are being urged to slow down and stay alert in highway work zones, where crashes recently caused deaths and serious injuries in this region. TxDOT is spotlighting Work Zone Awareness Week and reminding motorists that fines can double, the Move Over or Slow Down law applies, and most victims in work zone crashes are actually drivers and passengers.
