• Isla Blanca Park daily entrance fee increases to $15 (mysanantonio.com) — Beach access is getting pricier across the Texas coast, and Port Aransas is part of the trend, with local leaders approving a higher beach parking permit fee for the first time in decades. Cameron County’s Isla Blanca Park and other South Padre Island accesses will jump to $15 a day this October as communities try to cover rising maintenance and lifeguard costs.
