• TSTC industry panels explore AI and workplace change (wacotrib.com) — Texas State Technical College recently brought an AI-focused industry panel to its North Texas campus in Red Oak, giving local students and residents a front-row seat to how automation may reshape careers. Speakers stressed that AI is more likely to create new jobs than eliminate them and urged attendees to adopt a “learner’s mindset” to stay adaptable in a changing workforce.

• Elite cornerback Dhillon McGee is moving from Red Oak to four-time state champion DeSoto (dallasnews.com) — A standout Red Oak High School cornerback, Dhillon McGee, is transferring to powerhouse DeSoto for his senior season, just as Red Oak moves up to Class 6A. McGee, a three-star recruit with dozens of college offers, was a key defensive player on last year’s 5-5 Red Oak team. His move shifts one of the area’s top talents out of the Hawks’ lineup.
