The district is hiring for roles like bus drivers, child nutrition staff, maintenance, instructional assistants, and ROCK After School workers, with listed hourly pay rates and on-site guidance on applying.

Rockwall Art Student Wins Congressional Art Contest, Art Displayed at U.S. Capitol (blueribbonnews.com) — A Rockwall High School art student, Savannah Ware, has earned first place in the Congressional Art Contest, sending her piece “Liberty at 250” to hang in the U.S. Capitol for nearly a year. Representing her Rockwall-area district on a national stage, she’ll also receive Southwest Airlines tickets to attend a winners’ celebration in Washington, D.C.

Things to do, June 12 and beyond: 'Riverdance 30,' FIFA Fan Festival, SparkFest (dallasnews.com) — Free live music is back in downtown Rockwall, with the San Jacinto Music Series filling San Jacinto Plaza every Friday and Saturday evening in June. Acts like Travis Roberts and Brandon Bamburg headline early dates, and the whole lineup is free to enjoy. You can bring the family, grab dinner nearby, and make a night of it close to home.
   

4. Rockwall Art League, Children's Advocacy Center to Unveil ‘Go Blue' Wall at The Hub at Fate Station (blueribbonnews.com) — Rockwall residents are invited to a June 25 “Go Blue” art reception at The Hub at Fate Station, where Rockwall-area artists’ donated works will raise funds for the Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County. Guests can enjoy wine tasting, light bites, giveaways, and a large local art exhibit while supporting services for children and families affected by abuse and trauma.
