• Round Rock ISD aims to protect programming amid enrollment uncertainty (communityimpact.com) — Round Rock ISD is grappling with a yearslong enrollment decline that could drop student numbers by roughly 10,000 by 2035-36, tightening state funding tied to attendance. District leaders say they're streamlining operations and staffing to save money while protecting popular programs like orchestra, robotics, and career and technical education that attract families to Round Rock schools. 
• Check out 6 transportation updates from across the Austin metro (communityimpact.com) — Round Rock drivers should watch the ongoing Red Bud Lane North widening, which is transforming the two-lane road into a four-lane divided corridor with new intersections and pedestrian improvements through spring 2027. Funded partly by Round Rock bonds and sales tax revenue, it's one of several major transportation projects across the Austin metro that will reshape commutes and safety in coming years.
• Shuff comes from the loss side to win the $20k-added Texas Open's One Pocket division (azbilliards.com) — A major $20,000-added One Pocket division of the Texas Open just wrapped up at Skinny Bob's Billiards in Round Rock, where veteran pro Brandon Shuff battled through a stacked field to claim the title.
