• Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD is replacing all of its librarians with paras (tspantx.com) — Families in Schertz should know that SCUC ISD will eliminate all certified librarian positions this fall and staff school libraries with paraprofessionals instead, to help close a major budget deficit. District leaders say libraries will stay open with centralized oversight, while former and current librarians worry students will lose vital research and critical-thinking support.
