Council members also extended the deadline for the event center at Dakota’s Steakhouse to secure a certificate of occupancy, while keeping the restaurant’s opening deadline and existing incentive terms in place.

The emergency order doesn’t prove wrongdoing but freezes new sales while the investigation continues, and Texans who were solicited are urged to contact the Texas State Securities Board.
