• Scams continue to target Texas attorneys (tspantx.com) — Texas attorneys are being hit with increasingly sophisticated scam attempts, and one reported case even cites a supposed debtor address on Hufsmith Kohrville Road in Tomball 77375. The State Bar of Texas details numerous schemes involving fake settlement checks, wire fraud, and impersonation of lawyers, urging attorneys to verify funds and wire instructions carefully. While most examples are statewide or national, the Tomball-linked case shows these tactics can touch local businesses too.
