UT Tyler students earn more than 50 awards at state media convention competition (tylerpaper.com) — UT Tyler mass communication students just brought home 53 awards from the statewide Texas Intercollegiate Press Association convention, highlighting strong journalism and media work coming out of Tyler. Local students from Tyler and nearby towns were recognized across web, radio, photography, design and social media categories, underscoring the growing impact of Talon Student Media and the university’s communication program.

Casey McCoy helps start playgroup for neurodivergent families (ketk.com) — A Tyler mom’s search for support after her daughter’s autism diagnosis helped spark Neurodivergent Advocates of East Texas, now connecting more than 1,400 families. Inspired by the Tyler Run for Autism, the group hosts growing playdates and monthly events where neurodivergent kids, siblings, and parents build lasting friendships across the region.

April recognized as Donate Life Month during Tyler event (kltv.com) — Tyler residents are being recognized this month as CHRISTUS Health and Southwest Transplant Alliance mark Donate Life Month with a local ceremony and powerful donation statistics. The partners also announced plans for a new “Garden of Hope” at CHRISTUS Health in Tyler to honor organ, eye, and tissue donors who have saved and improved lives.
