• MCC president announces retirement after 37 years of service (fox44news.com) — McLennan Community College president Dr. Johnette McKown, who has led MCC in Waco since 2009 and served the college for 37 years, plans to retire on May 31, 2027. She's credited with expanding academic and workforce programs, improving campus facilities, and strengthening partnerships with local schools and employers. MCC's Board of Trustees will now launch a search to name her successor by spring 2027.
