• TxDOT opens first segments of Loop 88 near Lubbock, updates progress (lubbockonline.com) — Drivers in Wolfforth should know that Loop 88 is beginning to take shape, with the first freeway segments now open on Lubbock’s south side and ultimately planned to run south to Wolfforth. The six-lane corridor will form an outer loop from near Shallowater through Wolfforth to Slaton, improving regional traffic flow and honoring fallen first responders as the First Responder Memorial Loop.
