4. Rare Gain-of-Function Variant in BMPR2 Identified as New Cause of Neurodevelopmental Disorders (texaschildrens.org) — Groundbreaking research from Texas Children's and Baylor College of Medicine has identified a rare BMPR2 gene variant that appears to cause a newly recognized neurodevelopmental disorder. While the work is based in Houston, it underscores the advanced pediatric expertise available through Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands, which serves families north of Houston who may seek answers for complex developmental challenges.
