Gather the family and plan to spend the evening with us to celebrate Independence Day!&nbsp; Food trucks, face painting, giant inflatables and amusements beginning at 5:00 pm, along with tunes from DJ Bifocals.&nbsp; LIVE music from Loudoun Jazz Ensemble from 7:30 – 8:30 pm and the Sons of the American Revolution will lead a reading of the Declaration of Independence.&nbsp; Settle in for a spectacular FIREWORKS display beginning at 9:30 pm, accompanied by live music from the Loudoun Symphonic Winds.&nbsp; This is a FREE event. Franklin Park Independence Day Celebration for the 250th: Purcellville

Celebrate America’s big day at Ida Lee Park and enjoy a great night of music, food, fireworks, and fun!
Gates open at 6:00 pm and music starts at 6:30 pm, so be sure to arrive early and grab a spot for a full night of celebration.&nbsp;
Go Go Gadjet will take the stage to deliver premium live music entertainment. Their signature sound fuses the infectious rhythms of dance music with reimagined classics and today's hottest hits.
A full food court will be onsite with funnel cakes, ice cream, burgers, hot dogs, tacos, and so much more.
The biggest bang of the evening begins at 9:30 pm when the largest fireworks show in the region will light up the sky. Choreographed to patriotic music, this light show is not to be missed. (From Leesburgva.gov)

Note: This event has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 5, due to weather conditions.The Upper Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual fireworks celebration on July 5 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Polo Fields in Poolesville. 
Gates open at 5 p.m.
In addition to the fireworks, attendees will be treated to live music and have a selection of food vendors.
The viewing area for the event will be located the intersection of Hughes and Sugarland roads. "If you are unfamiliar with the area, set your GPS to 15598 Hughes Rd, Poolesville, MD 20837," organizers said.
Supported by the UMCVFD, Town of Poolesville, and the Poolesville Area Chamber of Commerce, the event is held on privately-owned land and requires a $10 parking fee paid in cash.
"The Firefighter/EMTs are all volunteers donating their time and service to make this event safe and enjoyable for everyone," reads the announcement. "Revenue from parking goes directly back into the 4th of July Fireworks expense fund."
Parking is not allowed along Hughes Road.
Alcoholic beverages, open flames from barbecue grills and candles and pets are not allowed on the grounds. Any coolers brought to the event will be inspected.
