• Grand Jury Returns Indictments in Deadly Arson,DUICases (loudounnow.com) — A Loudoun County grand jury has indicted a driver in connection with a December 2025 crash on Olympia Drive in Brambleton that killed his wife, adding more serious DUI-related charges that could mean up to 20 years in prison. In a separate case, a 78-year-old man faces murder and arson charges after a fatal townhouse fire in Lowes Island. 
• UNCW Women's Soccer Adds Five Freshmen for 2026 Season (uncwsports.com) — A Brambleton soccer standout is heading to UNC Wilmington, giving local fans someone to root for at the college level. Forward Emily Marlovits, a four-year starter at Independence High, helped secure multiple district, regional, and state titles before joining UNCW’s 2026 recruiting class.
