National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, and more caring places to live. Come out to meet the officers of the 2nd District (Bethesda) Police Station, the B-CC Rescue Squad, Bethesda Chevy-Chase Services and the Bethesda Fire Department. Kids and adults alike can tour fire trucks and ambulances, enjoy live music and play free carnival games! Plus, food and drinks from Olazzo, treats from Max’s Ice Cream and Carmen’s Italian Ice, face painting, balloon animals, crafts &amp; activities and more!

Grab your pup and your pals for Yappy Hour on Wednesday, August 12, Thursday, September 17 and Thursday, October 8, from 6-8 pm for an evening of live music, food, beer and wine. The “pop up park” is an enclosed area for your dog to run and have fun with their pals! Eight regional artists have been selected as finalists for The Trawick Prize: Bethesda Contemporary Art Awards, a juried competition and exhibition produced by the Bethesda Arts &amp; Entertainment District. More than 370 artists from Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. submitted work to the 24th annual competition. The exhibit will be on display September 3–27, 2026 at Gallery B, located at 7700 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite E. Gallery hours are Thursday through Saturday, 12 to 5pm, and Sunday, 11am – 4pm. A public opening reception will be held on Friday, September 4, from 6-8pm during the Bethesda Art Walk. The eight finalists are, Cindy Cheng, Diana Derby, Ayana Gordon, Leslie Holt, Madyha Leghari, Anne Rogers, Tony Shore and Ciarra K. Walters.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Anything Goes (2022 Revision) is a vibrant, dance-heavy version of Cole Porter's classic musical about romance and mistaken identities aboard the S.S. American, following stowaway Billy Crocker's quest to win heiress Hope Harcourt from her stuffy fiancé, with help from singer Reno Sweeney and gangster "Moonface" Martin, all set to iconic songs like "You're the Top" and the title track, with the 2022 revision updating the book for modern audiences and boosting its dance numbers. 
This version of Anything Goes was adapted from the 1987 Broadway revival, originally produced by Lincoln Center Theater.
