"In an old house in Paris that was covered with vines lived 12 little girls in two straight lines." So begins Madeline's Christmas! The day starts as any other. Miss. Clavel takes Madeline and 11 other girls to the zoo and gives them a French lesson. But disaster strikes when everyone gets the flu. That is, everyone but Madeline. On Christmas Eve, the girls go to sleep, sad that they may not get to go home for Christmas. Will the miracle of Christmas heal the girls and send them home to their families?&nbsp;&nbsp;

Auditions and Crew Interviews for Madeline’s Christmas are quickly approaching!

Audition Dates: September 15, 2026 | 5:30-8:30 PM
Audition Location: Cherrydale United Methodist Church
Production Dates: November 20-22, December 5-6 &amp; 11-13, 2026
Production Location: Gunston Theatre (2700 S. Lang St. Arlington, VA 22206) 

Students aged 9 and older are invited to audition for the cast and students 12 and older may also interview for crew positions.&nbsp;

Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled audition or interview slot. Please plan to wait, timeslots are meant to stagger arrivals and not a guarantee of when you will be seen.

Arrive with your cast/crew paperwork, including a filled out conflict calendar completed. Typed is very helpful if possible. Wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothes for movement.

No prior preparation is needed.

After Hansel is captured and tempted with endless cake, Gretel must use her courage and quick thinking to save her brother. The Lightning Thief follows Percy Jackson, the teenage son of Poseidon, as he embarks on a quest to prove his innocence. When Zeus’s lightning bolt is stolen, Percy becomes the prime suspect due to his father’s rivalry with Zeus. Percy receives a riddle from the Oracle that calls him to retrieve the bolt and prove his innocence. Armed with his newly formed powers, he embarks on a quest alongside his new friends Annabeth and Grover. Not only does he have to retrieve the bolt, but he must travel to the underworld, decode the riddle that warns him of a great betrayal, and come to terms with his father abandoning him. Will he succeed? Or maybe the strength of gods and monsters is enough to thwart Percy Jackson for good.

Enchanted Bookshop takes place entirely in a small bookstore named A Likely Story. The store seems average by day, but it comes alive at night– literally. Beloved characters from classic literature step out of their books after all of the humans are gone. However, one night they witness a burglary. The characters long to help Margie, the bookstore owner, but they are not allowed to leave the building or be seen by human eyes. Will they warn her and risk disappearing forever? Or will they put a stop to the thieves themselves?

Will Albert achieve financial independence, or will the extravagant plan cause Conrad's career to come crashing down?&nbsp;

Showtime is 7:00 pm and the revised summer line-up includes Jim Fowler sitting in on bass for the vacationing John Werntz and Marcy Cochran doubling up on fiddle and mandolin while Sherry Stewart in riding the range out west. Veteran DMV&nbsp; singer-songwriter Jim Johnson (Harley String Band) will open the show.&nbsp; 
Jeff Smith is a musical raconteur, whose poetic lyrics paint common experiences and filtered memories with a tender or playful brush.
