Sunny@Midnight (Jeff Smith and Sherry Stewart) return to Cafe Sazon (4704 Columbia Pike) for their monthly residency this Saturday June 27th. Showtime is 7:00 pm and they will be joined by their bandmates Ron Goad (percussion), John Werntz (upright bass) and Marcy Cochran (fiddle). Acclaimed local singer-songwriter Rob Gould will open the show will open, Gould has been honored by the Washington Area Music Association and has placed highly in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. This is a no cover show but donations are accepted on behalf of the performers. 
Jeff Smith is a musical raconteur, whose poetic lyrics paint common experiences and filtered memories with a tender or playful brush. Singing in a honey-drenched Appalachian drawl, multi-instrumentalist Smith lays down a brew of what he calls a funky kind of country blues folk pop rock stomp.
Sherry Stewart writes songs about people, places and things that have left an impression on her. Themes often evoke nature and leave the listener with a sense of longing only heightened by her angelic voice and vocal harmonies. She accompanies herself on mandolin, guitar, and flute whether she is playing solo or with others.

Cafe Sazon has been a centerpiece of the Arlington Mill neighborhood since 2015. They feature Bolivian, Salvadorian, Peruvian, and Ecuadorian cuisine and their focus on welcoming all community members led to a James B. Hunter Human Rights Act Award in 2017.

Sketch comedy takes over the DC Improv lounge showroom! While entertaining the DMV for a decade, Bad Medicine has also been showcasing around the country. Now they're bringing in some of their favorite sketch comedy performers from DC and beyond, presenting them in DC's top comedy spot.

You can catch him on stand up lineups, funky clown shows in NYC or even on tour for his one man comedy show MIND ER3CTION, an hour of deranged characters and physical performance.

Spoucho is a three-person sketch group from Columbus, Ohio. They are forever bonded by their love of basketball despite having never played the game and barely understanding the rules. One thing they do understand is sketch comedy. Spoucho seamlessly blends their sharp wit with silly characters to create a sketch show that satisfactorily ties everything together by the end of the show in a cute, thematic bow. When these all-stars hit the stage, they'll break comedy ankles and you'll be calling a time-out...so you can catch your breath! And guess what? Join Supreme Chord, a dynamic all-voices a cappella group with members across the DMV&nbsp;(including in Beltsville!) for our 18th anniversary at the Atlas Performing Arts Center with an amazing night of a cappella music celebrating our collective milestones in life!&nbsp; You can get your tickets via the <a href="https://www.atlasarts.org/events/supremechord/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Atlas Performing Arts Center</a>.
The performance will also feature Supreme Chord as well as two dynamic&nbsp; D.C.-based ensembles as guest groups:&nbsp;Chord of Appeals and The Augmented Eight.&nbsp;
We’re also pleased that a portion of proceeds from this concert will go to support critical youth programs in DC through a partnership with&nbsp;<a href="https://wearedcaction.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">DC Action</a>, a local non-profit focused on making the District of Columbia a place where all young people grow up safe, resilient, powerful, and heard.
