Castle Hill on the Crane Estate

Step back into America’s golden era on Wednesday, June 17 from 6pm –8pm, when author Jana Milbocker will talk about her newest book,&nbsp;Gardens of the Gilded Age at Castle Hill on the Crane Estate, 290Argilla Road, Ipswich.



In this richly illustrated talk, Jana will explore the estates andlandscapes created for families such as the Vanderbilts, Rockefellers –and the Cranes – alongside the visionary architects and designers who&nbsp;brought their grandeur to life. Castle Hill is one of thirty gardens&nbsp;profiled in the book.




The author talk will take place in the Great House and doors will open at5:30 pm. Attendees are welcome to arrive early and explore the CastleHill gardens and grounds.


Meet the author during post-talk book signing. Light refreshments will&nbsp;be served following the lecture. Accessible parking and seating are&nbsp;available.


About the Author: Jana Milbocker is an author, speaker, and garden&nbsp;designer. She loves visiting gardens and historic sites in the United&nbsp;States and abroad, and sharing her trips through guided garden tours,&nbsp;photos, and prose. In addition to *Gardens of the Gilded Age*, she is&nbsp;the author of four garden travel guides that profile 310 gardens on theEast Coast.

The 10 members of No Static have performed the music of Steely Dan since 2005. Thousands of Dan lovers young and old have experienced the excitement they bring to every performance. Appearing at first-tier venues across New England and beyond, this talented band has earned the admiration and affection of critics and fans alike.
Based in Boston, No Static is&nbsp;one of the top Steely Dan tribute bands in the country. These dedicated musicians specialize in expertly performing the music of Steely Dan, re-creating that amazing bluesy jazz-rock sound invented by Donald Fagen and Walter Becker. As Dan fans know, this is no small feat. The music is complex, spanning genres, requiring precise attention to musical detail, with subtle grooves, sophisticated vocal harmonies, iconic solos, and time and key changes popping up when least expected. Steely Dan is not an easy band to pay tribute to.
No Static has been nailing it for over 20 years now and their sold-out shows tell the tale. With passion and warmth they cover the breadth of Steely Dan’s great catalog, attracting some of Boston’s finest musicians, and working with guest performers including Steely Dan band members Walt Weiskopf (saxophonist) and Jon Herington (Music Director/guitarist).

Dueling Pianos is back. Bring your friends and have a ball. Dueling Pianos is a massive "to the top of your lungs" sing along with all your friends! Two grand pianos are center-stage with a team of outrageously talented pianists that seem to know every song ever written.
Each show is different because it's all request. And you or your friends might get called up onstage for a bit of good humored fun and some unforgettable you-tube moments. These shows are request oriented, interactive sing-a-longs wherein two piano players sit across from each other and trade songs. The dueling piano audience is used for the dueling aspect of the show. Audience members are pitted one-side-against-the-other. Examples of rivalries include country vs. rock, men against women, etc.
Dueling piano shows often take unexpected turns, like involving wait staff members, changing song lyrics or roasting popular audience members. There aren't many boundaries. It's one big sing-along party, swaying to the music and bellowing-out familiar lyrics. You're not just being entertained by the piano players - you are part of the show!

West Gloucester Trinitarian Congregational Church is hosting Bobby Jo Valentine on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 5:00 PM for a special Pride Month concert in Gloucester.
Bobby Jo Valentine brings heart-opening, award-winning folk/pop music filled with thoughtful lyrics, humor, compassion, and hope. His songs speak to belonging, courage, love, healing, and the work of becoming more fully human together. This is music for people who care about justice, tenderness, chosen family, spiritual depth, and the kind of community where everyone gets to show up as themselves.
This concert is part of WGTCC’s commitment to being a welcoming, inclusive, Open and Affirming congregation, and to creating spaces where LGBTQIA+ people, families, friends, neighbors, and allies are not just tolerated, but celebrated.

In honor of the&nbsp;50th anniversary&nbsp;of the release of&nbsp;The Song Remains the Same, internationally acclaimed&nbsp;Lez Zeppelin&nbsp;-- the all-female quartet known for delivering the most powerful and authentic Led Zeppelin experience and the only band personally endorsed by Jimmy Page, himself, announces a special concert series celebrating the iconic 1976 film and its legendary soundtrack.
Accompanied by a multimedia presentation inspired by the original movie,&nbsp;Lez Zeppelin&nbsp;will perform the soundtrack from&nbsp;The Song Remains the Same&nbsp;in its entirety.
