• Centro Civico Mexicano boosters hope to build a new $27M facility to house the cultural group (ksl.com) — Centro Civico Mexicano is planning a new $27 million facility in Salt Lake City's Depot District to replace its aging, earthquake-vulnerable building on 600 West. The project would add classrooms, sports space, a theater, art gallery, and an incubator kitchen, while partnering with Centro de la Familia for childcare services. Fundraising and city planning reviews are underway, with construction hoped to start by 2028.
