Utah hiker goes missing in Little Cottonwood Canyon, police seek help (abc4.com) — Sandy police are asking for help finding resident John Zitting, missing for several days and last believed to be hiking in Little Cottonwood Canyon after his work truck was seen near 9000 South and 800 East. Residents with any information are urged to call Sandy City Police, and officials remind families there’s no waiting period to report someone missing in Utah.
   

2. Riding an e-vehicle at Dimple Dell Park? Sandy wants you to know the rules (ksl.com) — If you or your kids ride e-bikes around Dimple Dell or other Sandy trails, new signs and stricter rules are going up to separate legal e-bikes from prohibited e-motorcycles. Sandy police will start with education but can issue warnings, citations, and even impound vehicles in serious cases, so parents are urged to review bike classifications and helmet requirements together.
   

3. Getting into the weeds, literally (sandyjournal.com) — Sandy homeowners are being urged to rethink their lawns, with recent Localscapes classes in Sandy showing how cutting grass to about 20% of a yard can save roughly 110,000 gallons of water a year.
