• Gardeners Basics Recalls Waltham 29 Broccoli Sprouting Seeds Due to Possible Salmonella Contamination (solomonswords.net) — A Spanish Fork-based company, Gardeners Basics, is recalling its Waltham 29 broccoli sprouting seeds because a bulk seed lot tested positive for Salmonella, which can cause serious illness. The one-pound bags, marked “Packed for 2027,” were sold online nationwide, including to Utah buyers, and residents are urged to check packages and stop using any affected seeds immediately. 
• India's US Envoy Calls Shooting Attempt at Hindu Temple ‘Deeply Disturbing' (boldnewsonline.com) — Spanish Fork residents are reminded that a local Hindu temple was targeted by gunfire in 2025 as Indian and U.S. officials now condemn a newly foiled mass-shooting plot at a temple in Illinois. Hindu-American groups are pressing authorities nationwide to better protect temples, investigate threats early, and encourage communities and law enforcement to work together against religiously motivated violence.
