• One injured in Burlington fire that caused $1.5M in damage Saturday (thespec.com) — A serious fire on Webb Street in Burlington injured one person and caused an estimated $1.5 million in damage Saturday, drawing 26 firefighters who battled flames for hours. Later that evening, a separate Glover Lane garage fire caused about $200,000 in damage. Officials urge residents to handle wood ashes carefully and avoid overloading electrical circuits to prevent similar incidents. 
• Vermont Air National Guard Is Coming Home from the Middle East (sevendaysvt.com) — Air National Guard members based out of South Burlington and Burlington International Airport are finally returning Sunday after an eight‑month deployment to the Caribbean and Middle East.
