• BREAKING STORY: Windsor County Sheriff facing more charges (thevermontstandard.com) — Hartland’s contracted patrol coverage from the Windsor County Sheriff’s Department is slated to rise from 128 to 160 hours a month, even as Sheriff Ryan Palmer faces new criminal charges and has stepped back from leadership. Captain Claude Weyant, now running the department, says finances are improving and patrol obligations to Hartland and other towns are being maintained while the legal case proceeds.
