• Overnight thunderstorm knocks out trees, power for thousands across Fairfax (ffxnow.com) — Annandale residents on Friar Tuck Court are dealing with crushed cars, downed trees, and lingering power outages after a powerful overnight thunderstorm swept Fairfax County. More than 16,000 customers countywide lost electricity, and officials urge everyone to report outages, watch for blocked roads and dark signals, and treat any dead traffic light as a four-way stop as additional storms remain possible.

- We were able to observe an eagle release yesterday at Mason Neck State Park, in partnership with Wildlife Center of Virginia who rehabilitated the eagle fledgling after its nest fell to the ground after a strong storm several weeks ago.
