📰 News we're reading

• Annandale Football looking outstanding (thea-blast.org) — Annandale High's Atoms football team has rebounded from an opening shutout loss to win three of their first five games, including a two-game win streak over Falls Church and Park View. Heading into tonight's homecoming matchup against Justice High, the team's improved play and growing confidence are giving Annandale fans plenty to cheer about.

• Tysons apartment costs rise, other areas of county see drop in new data (ffxnow.com) — New rental data show Annandale's median apartment rent at $2,184 overall, with one-bedrooms at $1,894 and two-bedrooms at $2,161, about 5% lower than a year ago. While Tysons rents are still rising, most Fairfax County communities, including Annandale, are seeing modest declines as the regional and national markets cool slightly.
