Arlington Public Schools Decide On Classes For Jan. 26

The winter storm forced Arlington Public Schools to make a schedule decision for Monday classes.

ARLINGTON, VA — Due to the state of emergency in Virginia and the forecast for snow and sleet through Monday morning, all Arlington Public Schools and offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26.The following activities in schools and on school grounds are canceled:

  • Extracurricular activities
  • Games
  • Team practices
  • Field trips
  • Adult education classes

Unless otherwise directed by their supervisors, custodial, maintenance and essential transportation staff should report to work at their scheduled time. More Info

Due to inclement weather, Arlington County Government will shift to virtual operations on Monday, Jan. 26. Programs and judicial court proceedings are canceled. All County facilities are closed.

Due to continued winter weather conditions ART & STAR will suspend service Mon. Jan. 26. ART will provide updates to service levels once roads are passable and it is safe for both operators and riders to commute. Bus stops will be cleared one staff are available. More Info.
