Metro, Parking And Travel Information

Metro will open at 5 a.m. Sunday to accommodate marathon participants and spectators.

The closest stations to the race start are Pentagon and Pentagon City, both served by the Blue and Yellow lines. Rosslyn, served by the Blue, Orange and Silver lines, is the closest station to the Finish Festival.

Race organizers recommend that participants use Metro, ridesharing or other transportation options instead of driving.

Drivers should also watch for temporary no-parking signs throughout the affected areas. Vehicles parked illegally may be ticketed or towed.

Residents whose vehicles are towed can check their status through the county's online towing portal or call the nonemergency police number at 703-558-2222.

Bicycles, electric scooters and other micromobility devices will be prohibited in certain restricted areas near the racecourse.

Police said all reopening times are approximate and depend on race operations and cleanup. Officers may close additional roads at their discretion.

Motorists should allow extra travel time, particularly when traveling through Rosslyn, Pentagon City and Crystal City.
